California fires fuel wood recycling
Article Abstract:
The deadly wildfires in California, which is caused by the combined effects of drought and land management policies, are mentioned. Several attempts are made to clear the dead wood from areas susceptible to catastrophic fires, including mountain communities and national forests. These wood residuals are used to produce lumber, pallets, firewood, compost, biomass fuel and new bioproducts.
