EPA refutes popular estimate of drinking water funding needs

The Water Infrastructure Network coalition has completed a report determining the nation's drinking water funding needs to be approximately $380 billion over the next 20 years. Environmental Protection Agency officials dispute that amount, claiming that their own study concluded funding needs to be approximately $83 billion over the next 20 years.
