Studying postmodern families: A feminist analysis of ethical tensions in work and family research
Article Abstract:
Feminist researchers aimed to create knowledge emergent from people in relationship with one another through dialogue and reflexivity. With reflexivity, researchers scrutinize themselves and their practices, in an attempt to explore the ethical dilemmas permeating such a research process that impinge on the creation of knowledge.

Issues concerning the sociohistorical context of childhood, fatherhood and motherhood are discussed. It is important that any definition of fatherhood reflects the real world, in which men and women do not have access to the same level of economic resources.
