Collecting our thoughts
Article Abstract:
Artists have always found themselves in a love-hate cycle with museums. The chance for an artist's work to be put on exhibit may validate his artistry, but artists often resent how curators decide the monetary value of their work. This ambiguous relationship is the subject of the show 'The Museum as Muse: Artists Reflect' at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, NY.
