Inspired by Threads- a fashion challenge

The editors of Threads have selected winners in its recent fashion challenge to create garments inspired by the magazine. The winner of most successful garment overall was Donna M. Brown, while Becky Fulgoni won for most successful embellishment and Stephanie Nordlin won for most interesting interpretation of a Threads article.

Threads Design Challenge VIII: sophisticated sportswear with an ethnic accent
Article Abstract:
Designers of sportswear and soft business attire are challenged by Threads Magazine to create clothes with ethnic textiles for the Original Sewing & Quilt Expo in Minneapolis in November 2003. The designers presented solutions, which showed that patterned ethnic textiles could be both professional and interesting.

Threads fabric shopping spree: the winner is... Kate Davis
Article Abstract:
Sewing enthusiastics were offered a chance to win a trip to New York city with $1000 to spend on fabric, by Threads who sponsored a shopping Spree contest in 2003. Kate Davis had a lot of support from enthusiastic salespeople.
