Weighing of the talents
Article Abstract:
There are several objections to the conclusion made by some that genius is predetermined in one's genes, and that the environment cannot influence it. First, inheritability of one behavior does not mean immutability. Second, detailed explanation of the causal relationship between genetics and behavioral outcomes is impossible because of grude gross measurements available. Third, IQ tests were designed to help predict scholastic achievement. Lastly, there is evidence that specific biographical and environmental factors are necessary for the development of high ability.
