Projects power drifts to QSs
Article Abstract:
The suggestion in the recent Kit Campbell report on procurement and commissioning for the RIAS that architects should concentrate on design aspects has dangerous implications in the light of the growing importance of project management. If project management is taken over by a quantity surveyor 'client's representative', the architect will lose his role as leader of the construction project, but this has not yet been realised by architectural practices, few of which are positively involved in project management. Project management work at Cecil Denny Highton Project Managers (CDH) is discussed.
