Women of the year

Article Abstract:

The 24 new females elected in 1992 to the U.S. Congress will join together to push for family and medical leave, Head Start and abortion rights legislation. Many of the new female Senators and Representatives have also infiltrated male dominated Congressional committees, such as Appropriations and Energy and Commerce. The two Republicans and 22 Democrats are reform-minded and plan to bring a spirit of cooperation and efficiency to government.
