Article Abstract:
Vintner Don Sebastiani, grandson of winery founder Samuele Sebastiani, presents a report, which shows that 90 percent of all U.S. businesses are family-owned but 30 percent survive past the first generation, as there is a different collection of potential problems endemic to family companies. The Sebastiani and the Kundes both are the only wine making family companies celebrating anniversaries of 100 or 150 years in the year 2004.
