Eight Chardonnay and four Shiraz wines are evaluated. The highest rated Chardonnay is a 1990 Cape Mentelle of Margaret River at $20 a bottle. It is rated 91 on a scale of 100. The highest rated Shiraz is a 1988 Taltarni Victoria at $14. It is rated 89.

Tasting notes are provided for nine wines, and wines are rated on a scale of one to 100. A 1992 Mitchelton Chardonnay Victoria at $9 is rated 87. The same vintner's 1991 Semillon-Chardonnay Victoria at $8 is rated 81.
