Changing of the guard
Article Abstract:
The California classics of 1970s and 1980s are losing ground to the cult wines of the 1990s and other new limited-production labels. It is described that the changing tastes and a desire for younger wines might be the driving force behind the shift in popularity and also a string of less-than-stellar vintages along with weak dollar might have influenced the performance of California classics at auction.
