Corky wines linked to cellars in France
Article Abstract:
Corky tasting wines may be caused by chemically treated wood used in cellar construction. French wineries have spent a good part of the 1990s dealing with the problem. United States enologists doubt that the problem even exists, and blame the cork as the source of corky tasting wines.
