Crystal clear
Article Abstract:
The cool climates of Alsace and an extended ripening period in 2004 have resulted in crisp white wines with well-defined fruit and mineral flavors, vibrant structures, precision balance and purity. The Domaine Weinbach Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg Cuvee Ste. Catherine 2004 and the Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Turckheim Heimbourg 2004, among other varietals, deliver richness from ripe grapes, while exhibiting the characteristic finesse of the best 2004 vintage.

DRC's supremacy in Burgundy
Article Abstract:
The wines from Domaine de la Romanee-Conti (DRC), the Burgundy's 2002 vintage, are benchmarks for the region, as they embody both the quality of the vintage and the characters of their vineyards. Among more than 400 reds that were tasted from 2002, DRC's best crus are unquestionably at the top of the hierarchy and in whites, the Montrachet ranks among the vintage's best.
