Italy gears up for release of stellar '97 vintage amid rising prices

The prices for Italian wines made in 1997 are expected to be much higher than prices from the 1995 vintage because the tastes are deep and clear. Wines from northern Italy have typically been better than those made in southern Italy, but these wines are expected to have improved quality and value.
