Five Barberas are evaluated on a scale of 100. The favorite is a 1989 Beni di Batasiolo Barbera d'Alba at $11.50 a bottle, rating an 84. Also evaluated are two Michele Chiarlo Barbera d'Asti wines, a Prunotto, and a Giuseppe Cortese. None of these wines rates less than a 71.
