Epirus, in Greece has lush landscapes and densely forested environs that seem almost impenetrable and the food in this region still reflects the lifestyle of the shepherds that inhabited the region centuries ago. The shepherd always stocked local pasta in their portable pantries and dozens of savory pies unique to the region are the ultimate itinerant food.

Article Abstract:
The summer Olympics in Greece has clearly turned the spotlight on this wonderful nation known as much for its games as for its cuisine. Sample of some of the rich culinary fare for visitors going for the games are listed but for those unable to make it, recipes are listed to help one get the taste and flavor of Greece at their homes.
