Food served at baseball stadiums has come a long way from the usual hotdogs and peanuts. Baseball fans can now buy Japanese chicken bowl from Dodger Stadium, Baltimore crab cakes from Camden Yards and Mexican fish tacos from San Diego's Jack Murphy Stadium.

Dining in a safari is an experience where the least expected food is served such as leek and potato soup, whipped garlic potatoes and avocado with a tomato-onion filling, all cooked over hot coals. Native foods such as irio and ugali are also available.

The Paris paradox

The conundrum of how the French enjoy so much food and yet remain slim is considered. It is proposed that this is due to the healthy nature of the diet, which includes plenty of fruit and vegetables, and eating just enough to satisfy the appetite.
