The West Berlin section of Kurfurstendamm was developed into a cosmopolitan mix of businesses and neon-lit night clubs. When the Berlin Wall came down the area became a busy center equal to New York's Fifth Ave. Tourists are especially in awe of the food hall that sells 30,000 different items.
