California offers an array of new and exciting wine products. The North Coast counties of Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino, where the climate is cooler, produce the best sparklers. Consumers, with the current glut of sparkling wines, can enjoy many affordable sparkling wines. Ten recommended vintages are listed.

The real rose
