A bold step to save Russia
Article Abstract:
The collapse of the former USSR has brought enormous economic difficulties for its successor states, especially Russia. The West should help avert a collapse of the Russian economy since it would have enormous repercussions around the world. Several ways on how this can be done are presented.

Leap of faith: could a mother risk her child's life to save another's?

Penny Thomas faced a difficult decision over allowing a donor's kidney to be transplanted on another child although her own daughter needs the organ. Her decision to give the other child a chance to live is rewarded when it is later determined that her daughter no longer needed a transplant.
