A heart attack to save a life

The innovative medical procedure undertaken by Jeff Greaves to treat his idiopathic hypertrophic subaortic stenosis is described. The procedure involves inducing a heart attack by injecting pure alcohol into the heart. Conventional treatment would be open heart surgery.
