America's most dangerous highways
Article Abstract:
The death of 70% of the 40,000 people killed on highways each year could have been prevented if the five most dangerous roads in the US were upgraded. These roads are Bayou Road in Louisiana, US Route 6 in Connecticut, US Route 71 in Arkansas, US Route 522 in Washington State and US Route 22-322 in Pennsylvania.
