Medicare costs the US $200 billion annually despite 1965 Congress estimates that it would only cost $12 billion a year by 1990. Until drastic reforms are adopted, the program is bound for financial ruin. Incentives for economy must be built into the system, such as greater choice and competition.

Witch hunt in Wenatchee
Article Abstract:
The town of Wenatchee, WA, attracted national attention in 1995 when Robert Roberson, a church pastor, was accused of child molestation and rape. Roberson was later on acquitted after it was proven that the charges were false.
