Article Abstract:

Life recreated a 1959 photograph of the greatest musicians of the time on a Harlem stoop in 1995 by assembling jazz greats from this time. There were 54 musicians in the original picture and 156 in the modern day photo. A photograph of 11 survivors from the original picture is also presented.
