Article Abstract:
About 3% of women in their 20s have binge eating disorder and use food as a drug, eating huge amounts of food several times a week. The disorder is related to low self-esteem and depression. Treatment includes antidepressants and therapy to relieve stress and change eating patterns.

Thigh anxiety? 500 women say what they love & hate about their bodies

A survey of 500 women found that 88% are pleased with their bodies, although 43% percent believe they are overweight. Most feel they look better dressed than naked. Only 19% are dieting, and 80% report that they feel strong.

Alternative medicine includes biofeedback, herbal medicines, aromatherapy and homeopathy. These can control illnesses ranging from stress to cancer. However, they are not 100% effective and may pose health risks.
