Brazil's dead-end kids
Article Abstract:
Brazil's streets are home to an unknown number of children who live by stealing and committing crimes. Many of these street children are murdered by vigilantes who operate with impunity since few Brazilians care about their fate. However, the government has enacted measures designed to increase protection for these children.
