Damsels in dissent
Article Abstract:
Wendy Shalit, Danielle Crittenden, Amity Shlaes and Virginia Postrel are female conservatives whose books reflect the increased merger of left and right politics. For example, Shalit is the author of "A Return to Modesty" which denounces the culture of promiscuity and seeks a return of courtly love. Crittenden, author of "What Our Mothers Didn't Tell Us," critiques feminist legacy with a plea for women to put family ahead of career.
