Rescuing Mr. Lincoln
Article Abstract:
A campaign banner made in 1860 for Abraham Lincoln's speech in Norwich, CT, was lost and then rediscovered in 1997 at an auction. The city of Norwich purchased the banner for $35,750, restored it and it is now on display in city hall.
