Sharkey visits nursing homes, hospitals and other places with specially trained animals as a volunteer with the Delta Society's AAA program. The visits add cheer to the lives of patients and make them feel better. Both human volunteers and animals undergo training for AAA.

Biking through mountains; tunneling scouts pedal a historic Wisconsin path in damp and dark rock

Article Abstract:

Boy Scout Troup 29 from Cedar Rapids, IA, cycled the 32-mile-long historic Elroy-Sparta Trail in southwestern Wisconsin. The trail was built on an abandoned railbed and included three huge tunnels and several long climbs.
