Estrogen: is it for you?
Article Abstract:
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can prevent menopause and preserve the elasticity of a woman's skin. However, there were reports that long-term use of estrogen increases the risk of ovarian and breast cancer. A long-term study of HRT and its links with various ailments is under way. The results are expected by year 2005.

A new Norwegian study has shown that women smokers are more susceptible to heart disease as compared to their male counterparts. The findings were more pronounced in men and women aged 44 and below.
