The fabulist Jean de La Fontaine has attained canonical status in the French school system since the 19th century. La Fontaine's work has a privileged place in the history of French letters and in the nation's cultural memory. The Republican school finds its ideological and moral values reflected in La Fontaine's 'Fables,' which has contributed to the normative formation of French youth. Article text is in French.

The medial temporal lobe and recognition memory
Article Abstract:
The experimental hypothesis of the neural mechanisms and analysis of the data is presented for recognition memory in the medial temporal lobes. Hippocampus is shown to be of importance for recollection and perirninal cortex for familiarity-based recognition.
