Health care for America: which way to go?
Article Abstract:
The US health care system's major problems stem from rising costs of medical services and the large uninsured population. Congressional and executive control initiatives would be more effective if the basic question of allowing either government regulation or free competition to prevail is addressed.

Car wars: can America's auto industry be saved?
Article Abstract:
The US automobile industry is losing its market share to the Japanese. The trend of job lay-offs and automobile plants shut-down is likely to remain unchanged. Unless the consumers are conviced thatthe US cars are at par with Japanese cars, any efforts of improvement are pointless.
