Diver Gary Decker was trapped under the navy research ship 'De Steiguer' while repairing it. The ship was in Lake Union, at Puget Sound, WA. He was rescued after the short piece of eight-inch pipe was welded to the base plate on the cofferdam and enough pressure was applied to the cofferdam so that it will release him.

Hijacked on Interstate 20
Article Abstract:
Three armed men hijacked a Shreveport, LA-bound passenger bus on Interstate 20. One of the passengers, 44-year old Jo Ann Williams, secretly called the police through her cellular phone. The robbers were caught but the bus driver, Mike Gibbs, was shot in the head.
