The existence of monsters, such as Bigfoot and the Lock Ness Monster, continues to perplex both scientists and ordinary citizens. Monster sightings have occurred throughout the world. The only real sea serpent sighting occurred in 1852 in the South Pacific.

Thousands of people from across the US and around the world flocked to Canada after Robert Henderson found gold in the country's Klondike region in 1896. Although $5 million in gold was mined from the area, there was no more gold left by 1899.
