Old-house blues
Article Abstract:
The new owners of an old house in rural Pennsylvania wonder about the wisdom of the homebuilding decisions of their predecessors. For instance, a set of French doors opens to nothing, while a dining-room light fixture had no electrical wiring. The bathroom also has no exhaust fan and an extra bedroom is accessible only through the dining room.
