A mother recounts how she and her 3 children escaped a fire that razed the Waterville Valley Inn in White Mountains, New Hampshire in 1967. They were almost stuck in the snow, but were helped by the innkeeper and a fellow lodger.

Issues concerning the possible fate of the rum-running crew of the Black Duck on Dec 29, 1929, are discussed. It is possible that the Coast Guard deliberately ignored negligent homicide and concealed important evidence.
