The story of Dana Bienenfeld, a 13-year old who was almost crushed by a 10,000-lb granite rock during her class field trip to Yosemite National Park in Jun 1972, is recounted. Bienefeld was saved from the mishap through the help of 30 rescue workers led by park administrator, Graham Pierce.

Vincent and Deanne Sferrino courageously searched for the biological mother of their adopted daughter Alice, in the hopes of finding a donor for Alice's kidney, which has been ravaged by nephritis. Alice's biological mother readily agreed to donate a kidney to her long lost daughter.
