Premenstrual syndrome (PMS), which affects about 20-50% of all women, has numerous symptoms ranging from sudden mood swings to weight gain. Women suffering from PMS should monitor changes within themselves and should eat carbohydrates to calm themselves. They should also exercise, avoid drinking caffeine or alcohol and avoid stress.
