Pearl remembered: veterans ask for nothing more than fair treatment

War veterans are not receiving adequate medical benefits. The United States Veterans Administration (VA) is seeking government support to keep pace with the high cost of health care for veterans. Fifty years after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the VA has still not been able to adequately deliver its much-needed services due to financial constraints.

Veterans' medical benefits have dwindled over the past years. The US Veterans Administration's budget may be drastically reduced by Congress, which will lead to the reduction of financing for hospital, medical and domiciliary care for disabled war veterans.
