Preservation without gentrification: how to save historical nieghborhoods without driving away the longtime residents

Non-profit groups such as the Enterprise Foundation's Rehab Work Group in Columbia, Maryand and the Operation Comeback in New Orleans are helping out in the preservation of historic neighborhoods with low-cost renovation. Local residents are therefore not forced to leave their homes due to unaffordable repair costs.
