Retired news reporter Philip C. Clarke believes that the US needs a missile defence system because it is currently defenceless against any form of missile attack. Clarke feels that US President George Bush and his advisers must continue their push for deployment of a missile system, despite strong opposition.

Defying the odds at An Loc
Article Abstract:
In 1972 one of the last battles of the Vietnam War at An Loc was won against the odds by the South Koreans with the help of American advisors. The Army Combat Assistance Team 70 were eventually honored in 1999 for this work.

World War II began for most Americans with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941. The U.S. was not ready to deal with this aggression but rallied with its allies to defeat Japan and Germany.
