Rage and a haircut: what Andy Warhol taught me about human freedom
Article Abstract:
Brakhage's and Andy Warhol's '60s films portrayed the two faces of freedom. Brakhage's showed that people and art cannot be free of their cultural and historical context. Warhol, paradoxically, showed that people and art cannot be absolutely ruled.
