In the spring and summer of 2000, two young NASCAR drivers, Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin, lost their lives while racing at the New Hampshire International Speedway. Both deaths were blamed on stuck throttles, but the accidents have opened up questions about the track and the sport.

Article Abstract:
Painter Jamie Wyeth chose Orca Bates as the subject of a number of paintings because he felt that the boy personified life on Monhegan Island. Like the island itself, Wyeth found Orca to be wild yet innocent and was fascinated with his androgynous qualities.
