Replanting hope

The incidence of a couple who bounded back from a fruit tree massacre is narrated. Garden lovers from around the region rallied to help Elizabeth Soeth, 55, and her husband, Scott Nelson, 54, to replant the fruit orchard that vandals destroyed in Halloween in Friendship, Maine. The Soeths felt that the outpouring of love, friendship, and kindness made them proud to be Mainers.

Growing memories
Article Abstract:
The way in which more and more family farms are bringing tourists back to the Liberty Hill Farm, Rochester, V.T. is discussed. As there are fewer and fewer farms in each community, it becomes more and more important for the farmers to make sure that people are aware of their good hospitality and that the farmers care about our land and animals too.
