Skiing double
Article Abstract:
Brothers Frosty and Addison Whitworth have been best friends throughout their lives and are now both on the Northern Michigan University cross-country ski team. Although they are very competitive in their training, skiing is the activity that brings them together again and again. Both competed in the NCAA Ski Championships and have dreams of Olympic competition.

The incredible shrinking computer
Article Abstract:
The first computer had 18,000 vacuum tubes and filled an entire room. Computers became smaller when transistors were invented in the 1950s and when integrated circuits were introduced in the 1960s. In the future personal computers will become smaller and supercomputers will become faster.

Some sections of the Shenandoah River in Virginia are extremely difficult to negotiate using canoes. A brief narrative of two boy scouts and their experience with the river's rapids is presented.
