Major League Soccer (MLS) will make its debut in the US on Apr 6, 1996, in an attempt to awaken US sport fans to the excitement of the world's most popular sport. MLS will have 10 teams made up of American and foreign players, many of them veterans from the 1994 World Cup Championship.
