Suburban: What happens when coyotes move into your backyard?
Article Abstract:
Priscilla Angelo moved to Warvick Neck, Rhode Island, in the summer of 2004, buying a tidy new house that was constructed amid a pair of well-established coyote paths that connect two large tracks on either side, and nearly every day they would trot right through her yard and pass her house with their broods. Habituation is a two way street, and people would eventually adapt to coyotes as coyotes have adapted to them and the process of adaptation would be both simple and complex.
