Article Abstract:
Dessert wines contain only 14% alcohol which make them more pleasing to the palate. Port and cognac contain 20%. The best wines come from Germany, Australia, California and France. The French Sauterne and Barsac regions provide the best vintages due to the spread of the helpful botrytis fungus.
