Article Abstract:
Many advertising agencies are now using elaborate stunts in an effort to gain particular accounts. This approach was common in the 1980s, but was brought to an end by the recession and a spirit of relatively humourlessness. DMB and B, for example, converted its reception into a beach in order to pitch for Club 18-30's business, while J Walter Thompson sought to gain the British Airways advertising account by dressing its employees up in ground-staff uniforms.
