The old Willard Hotel, now the Willard Inter-Continental, is a Washington, DC landmark. The first building and the property date from 1816, but the present hotel originated in 1901. Presidents Franklin Pierce, Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant and other famous people stayed there.
